Prepare to teach some of Kenya’s poorest children living in rural surroundings, from a variety of age groups. Educate, inspire and enlighten them about what is beyond their village. Combine interactive with text book education, giving you the opportunity to teach school children in Kenya and improve the level of education.

What will I be doing?
As a volunteer teacher in Kenya, you are expected to not only provide interesting and exciting lessons for the children, but guaranteed to return to your home country having learnt a variety of skills and memories that you will treasure for a lifetime.

After being assigned to a school that fits your skillset and requirements, volunteers will be given an orientation on Kenya and the education system. After shadowing the local staff for a few days, you will assist the local staff with the teaching of the national syllabus as well as any additional extracurricular activities you would like to provide for that class. Your level of involvement with the lesson plans is entirely up to you. The amount of energy you put into your school teaching volunteer placement is also up to you! The more you put in, the more you’ll get out of your experience! Guaranteed!

Migori county is known for its diverse landscape; bordering the Masaai Mara game reserve, Tanzania and the 2nd largest lake in the World, your school volunteer program location my either surrounded by sugar cane fields, overlooking the fishermen on Lake Victoria or completely interior surrounded by agriculture as their source of income. You can choose to work with orphans, children with disabilities, or a faith-based school, an international school, or where you’re guaranteed to learn Kiswahili during your placement. Depending on your particular interests and experience, will determine to which school/s you are sent to volunteer at. We can guarantee that wherever you volunteer, you will have an unforgettable experience! Contact our team today to discuss which location would suit you best!
